Although aggressive control efforts are occurring, these undesirable
non-native species continue to thrive and rapidly reproduce.
In some areas, noxious weeds have out-competed native vegetation
resulting in significant loss of vegetation, wildlife diversity, and
recreational value. The public can help the managing agencies in their battle against these
weeds. You can help by: learning to identify noxious weeds, reporting weed
infestations to the Prineville
BLM, and by participating in community and volunteer weed control programs. |
